Anyone that knows us, knows we LOVE rocks at our house!  We love collecting big rocks from places we have traveled to.  So when I heard about Kindness Rocks, it was definitely a craft for us!

Read all about The Kindness Rocks Project here.  The lovely message behind kindness rocks is that one kind message can change someone’s day. There are also many rock painting groups on Facebook not associated with TKRP.

To start with you need to get some rocks.  Have an adventure and find some on a walk through your neighborhood, or you can buy some at a local craft store, or on Amazon you can find perfectly smooth ones.

You will also need some craft paint and spray sealer.  Both of these can be found at Walmart for about the same price.

Next, have fun painting!  You can paint inspiring quotes, just a word, or just pictures.    Wouldn’t you smile just to see a brightly painted rock in a bed with plain rocks?  When the rocks are dry, spray with the spray sealer.  Then place your rocks around town, parks, schools, workplaces.  Just be sure not to trespass anywhere, and most zoos and state/national parks don’t like them left there either.

Even if you’re not crafty, this project is fun and easy!  Perfect for kids and adults, great for large groups too!  Hope you have fun with this craft!
